Frequently Asked Questions
Where do you get your ideas from?
All over the place. An idea can come from anywhere. Mostly I hear something or see something and I think, 'That's a good idea.'
What writers do you admire?
Glen Duncan and Chuck Palahniuk. Both these guys are awesome and their books are brilliant. You should check them out.
Do you like a particular genre?
Anything transgressive. Anything that shocks people and causes controversy.
When do you write?
I don't really set out time to write. Mostly, if I'm itching to write an idea that's been prancing around in my head, I'll try to write it down. When I started writing my first, big idea, I set out time to write it. I would tell myself I had to finish a chapter a day. Right now I'm working as a debt collector and it's so boring and monotonous that my mind wanders off and my creativity thrives, so I've been writing a lot when I should be hounding people for money.
How long have you been writing for?
I first wrote a short story when I was in primary four but didn't really think anything of it. After reading Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings, I really got into writing. Since then I've had ideas bouncing around my head.
What are you doing right now?
Answering this question.
Do you read your stories to anyone?
I read them to my girlfriend, India. It's her opinion that I value most.
Have you ever won anything for writing?
Yes, I won a snack sized Mars Bar for a story I wrote when I was nine.
What do you want from life?
The question should be, 'What does life want from me?'
Okay, what does life want from you?
.........................you're a dick.
